What this notice covers
This notice describes how we handle personal data in connection with our website (www.next-tc.co.uk). It does not cover personal data we process in client engagements, which is governed by the relevant engagement contract.
What data we process and why
Server logs
Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc. As part of normal operation, Vercel processes standard server log data, including IP addresses, request times, user-agent strings, and pages requested. This is used for security, diagnostics, and to keep the site running reliably. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
Privacy-friendly analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how visitors arrive at the site. Vercel Analytics is designed to be cookie-free and does not store IP addresses. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in understanding website usage.
Performance metrics
We use Vercel Speed Insights to measure page load and rendering performance, so that we can improve site speed. It uses no cookies and does not identify individual users. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
Calendar bookings
The discovery call section embeds a Google Calendar booking page from our Google Workspace. If you book a call, your name, email address, and any details you provide are processed by Google on our behalf and added to our calendar. Google's processing in delivering this service is governed by Google's own privacy policy. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interests in managing enquiries.
Email correspondence
If you email us directly, we will process the contents of your message and your contact details in order to respond. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
Cookies
We do not set our own cookies, and our analytics and performance tools are cookie-free. The embedded Google Calendar booking page may set its own cookies in your browser when it loads; you can control these through your browser settings.
How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this notice. Server logs and analytics data are retained per our hosting and analytics providers' standard periods, typically short-term for security and diagnostics. Calendar booking records and related correspondence are retained for the duration of any engagement and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically up to two years from last contact) for legitimate business and record-keeping purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers that help us run the site and our business:
- Vercel Inc. (hosting, analytics, performance metrics)
- Google LLC (Google Workspace: calendar, email)
These providers act under our instructions where applicable and are bound by their own data protection commitments.
International transfers
Some of our service providers (Vercel and Google) may transfer personal data outside the United Kingdom, including to the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards provided by those service providers, including adequacy decisions, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or Standard Contractual Clauses, as appropriate.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights including: access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@next-tc.co.uk.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we have not handled your data correctly. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
